Fundraiser
On May 24th, 2006, Ellen and Stacey Leondis
accepted a check for $2,000 from the students of P.S. 100Q in South
Ozone Park, NY. Students at P.S. 100Q had participated in the Common
Cents Penny Harvest earlier in the year. During the penny harvest,
students had one month to bring in as many pennies as they could; after
the harvest, students were able to select the charity of their choice to
receive the collected money.
